How can i be outgoing and show initiative when working behind a bar?
I'm applying for a job working at the bar in a pub. On their poster ad they said they wanted someone who is outgoing and who shows initiative. I have an interview tomorrow at 5pm, how can i let them know I'm outgoing? What does it mean to "show initiative" and how can that be applied to working behind a bar? The pub is in a local area and is often rather quiet. It has it's regulars which are mainly middle-aged males. I'd be working shifts.

- want someone with a nice and happy personality.
- First impressions mean everything when it comes to interviews regardless of the type of job you're applying for. You can show that you're outgoing by smiling with confidence and establishing eye contact with the interviewer. Showing initiative is demonstrating the ability to take action on your own. This is probably an important factor because you might be working the bar by yourself. They might ask you how you feel about dealing with customers on your own because you might get the occasional drunk. Just show confidence smile often. If they provide a joke, laugh! Don't hesitate when answering questions. I know it's difficult because you're on the spot, but your natural confidence should shine through. Try to think of an example in your life where you took action that assisted in resolving or preventing a conflict that could apply to the bar tending job. Good luck and show confidence!!! :)
